Jorge Yeregui is a multidisciplinary artist, delving in architecture and fine art photography. At present, he works as a lecturer at the University of Málaga. Informed with knowledge in Architecture from the University of Sevilla 2003, Yereugui´s works navigates effortlessly across mediums of photography. Investigating in urban and territory transformations, his recent works take the form of large visual pieces including texts, visual art and installation. He has received awards, commissions and fellowships from the Botin Foundation (2013), Platform 2013 at Winterthur Fotomuseum, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2011), Pilar Citoler International Contemporary Photography Award (2011), the Spanish Ministry of Culture (2010) and the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo, among others.
His work is usually shown in solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally. “Stakeout Act” (2016), “Inventory” (2015), “The Circles of Life” (2013), “New Botanics” (2011), “Minimal Landscapes” (2011) or “On The Natural Contract” (2010) are some of his most recent solo shows. He has participated in various group-shows on renowned photography festivals as PhotoEspaña International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts (Spain), Festival Internazionale di Roma (Italy), Pyngyao International Photography Festival (China), Fotofestiwal (Poland) and Foto30 (Guatemala). Yeregui has also collaborated on research, exhibition and publication projects with the Universidad de Cordoba (2013), Universidad de Salamanca (2010) and Universidad de Cadiz (2010).
His work is present in many public and private art collections- the Spanish Ministry of Culture, Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Botin Foundation, Pilar Citoler Collection Coca-Cola Foundation and DKV Assurances Collection.
