Born in Santander, 1975.
In 2011 Yeregui was awarded with the Pilar Citoler International Prize of Contemporary Photography for a work belonging to the series Minimal Landscapes given that “it conforms a conceptual exploration regarding the symbolic value that nature adheres in the contemporary city” as the jury stated. Our interpretation of the landscape has evolved as man’s relationship with his surrounding has progressed. At the current moment, the most notable transformation is taking place in the way of seeing, in the transition from discovery to recognition, to the point that it is almost impossible to see with an innocent gaze.
Yeregui has recently recived the Fine Arts Grant Fondation Botín and Grant Casa Velázquez, 2013-2014. International Pilar Citoler Contemporary Photography Award 2011.
