The solo exhibition, “Borrar”, by Bernardo Ortiz at the Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art
(MAMBA) .
The exhibition, curated by Victoria Noorthoorn, reflects the work of Ortiz which revolves around
words, drawings and symbolic situations with dialogue in time – their effects and their events –
and, invites the viewer to sharpen their gaze and reflect on the construction of an image and
what meaning that subsequently gives the artwork .
The artist is defined as a “draughtsman”, and says: “I always thought that drawing keeps the
potential of what was not done alive. Drawing is a way of making visible something that does
not yet exist at all. ”
